My fic for 2015

Overall I’m pretty pleased with the output. I wrote my first long-fic (and learned a lot about how different the approach to characterization, foreshadowing, and arcs can be.)

I wrote a lot for events (het_bigbang, femslashbb, summer_of_giles, whichwillow) and communities (femslash_minis, buffy_genfic, open_on_sunday) this year. I’m not sure I will do quite so many next year. I really like the community encouragement, particularly from the Big Bangs. And deadlines helped light a fire under my butt to finally write a couple things that had been rattling around in my brain for a long time. But I also really struggled with deadlines a few times, especially at the end of the year. There were a few times where someone gave me a great prompt, and wish I’d done a better job with giving them a fic that lived up to the promise of the prompt. I’d also like to revisit a couple of the universes that I’ve created in 2016. So we'll see. (Several times this year I told myself "No more fic with deadlines" only to find a prompt or community too tempting to resist.)
