Your Anya seems a bit 'softer', not a totally snarky one, but perhaps the years as a human have her mellowed a bit, yes?
Still, the canary feather comment and some others are very Anya.
I could see those two slowly becoming something of an item without realizing it, kinda like Harry and Sally.
I love Buffy/Anya and there are so few of these, and there interaction isn´t exactly easy to do. Thanks for writing this.
